When collecting, don't overlook rocks that appear to be featureless. Many will show considerably more detail if you break them open, or split them along any fissures that they might show. If you carry a small chisel and a rock hammer and use them, you'll be sure to build your collection that much faster. Many of nature's wonders are hidden in plain sight. It's up to you to go after them.
